The Humble Writer

There's not much to say about me. By day I am still a good little office monkey in Cincinnati, Ohio. I did the whole college thing, and possess shiney BA's in East Asian Studies and History from Dickinson College, but once I started writing slash that was that.

I grew up reading bodice rippers, interspersed with horror, suspense, mysteries, and fantasy. I think I read more Dragon Lance than was probably healthy. Romance, however, is what I know and love best. I write the slash equivalent of bodice rippers and take a great deal of pride in that.

Fantasy settings are my favorite, contemporary my least favorite. I adore rewriting fairytales, which almost anyone can tell you. But I seldom stick to just one subgenre -- in addition to the usual fantasy, I play with contemp, sci-fi, supernatural, regency, and hope someday to be good enough to attempt western, horror, and maybe even an actual historical setting. We'll see.

In riskier business, as the warning states, I delve into subject matter which may put off a few -- anthro, incest, poly, and I think a few of my stories might count as mild bestiality. Not sure on that one. I like a challenge, even if meeting said challenges gets me lots of 'you need help' looks.

When not writing, I'm usually reading or spending my grocery money on yet more books. Hobbies also include harassing family, scaring the crap out of my jumpy roommate, tormenting our cats, and making the people around me laugh.
